(Roselle) Hibiscus Seed Oil
Hibiscus Roselle as you can see in the picture is as unique and magical as this hibiscus variety really is. The fruit of Roselle is gathered two weeks after flowering, where the seeds are then cold pressed and carefully filtered, resulting in this organic Roselle Hibiscus oil. Known for its bright and vibrant colours of this pretty flower, the plant can do a lot more than just look good.
Roselle Hibiscus Seed Oil has a gleaming reputation for its large array of benefits and is referred to as the skin's “Botox Plant” from its natural form of alpha-hydroxy acids (AHA) and high antioxidant content. High concentration of Omega-6 Linoleic Acid in this exquisite oil keeps skin moisturised and is ideal for soothing and hydrating dry skin and acne prone skin.
Hibiscus Seed Oil has both, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory compounds, which can help to improve the appearance of the skin, minimise wrinkles, and even increase the elasticity of the skin. Hibiscus diligently combats the ageing process by lifting and firming the skin but is also rich in protective antioxidants that helps to battle the effects of sun damage, pollution, and other environmental stressors. Due to the slightly exfoliating effect of the organic acids found in the plant, including malic and citric acid, Hibiscus Oil helps to speed up cell turnover, resulting in a more even looking skin tone.
Roselle Oil is rich in anthocyanocides. These are proven antioxidants that help to fight free radicals when pollutants such as ultraviolet radiation and traffic pollution contacting the skin and can result in premature skin ageing. Not only do anthocyanocides protect against free radical damage, but they also have slightly astringent properties, helping to reduce the appearance of large pores for a smoother complexion.
Hibiscus Seed Oil also strengthens and moisturise damaged and dry hair and is ideal to incorporate in hair and scalp care formulations with the intention to replenish and repair.
Hibiscus Seed Oil is organically crafted and cold pressed from the seeds of the flowers, Hibiscus sabdariffa grown in India. The oil has a pale yellow to golden colour, having a mild, characteristic aroma and a pleasant texture leaving the skin smooth and silky.
Due to the pure and unrefined process of Roselle Hibiscus, the oil has naturally small suspended remains from the seeds of the flower. After a period of time, these solids will settle down in a natural way to be deposited in the bottom of the packaging. Hibiscus oil will turn cloudy in cold temperatures.
